FINALLY We are aaaaalmost ready to start shipping!

The decks have arrived in the States and here in Greece too -Ooops, I forgot to tell you it's Lotrek speaking- and we're a quite astonished by the quality of Cartamundi's printing. Honestly, it feels like I was present in the printing. 

Cartamundi -apart from a great printing job, also did their best to beat me on delays but... poor guys, who are you trying to compete with? I have a reputation to protect here, I'm the GREAT DELAYER, not you!

Jokes aside, once more, I managed to delay production, this time with the Signature edition tuck case and the brick box... The amount of detail in the artwork of the Signature Ed. required special treatment of the fabric in order to be clearly printed. I had to come up with a new process for that. As I told Kellar, the way I work is quite simple: I promise something that I have no idea how to make it and then I find a way to make it. It always works:

As for the brick box, I faced an unexpected problem: The big length of the box required very long plates but my provider cannot produce such big plates. So, I had to redesign the cutting die and the whole brick box, as to have maximum artwork coverage without exceeding my provider's limits. Given the chance, I made some changes in the artwork:

Another factor that added to the delay is that I couldn't find a provider for a cello wrapping in Greece. I've made some of the craziest decks out there but I hadn't been able to find someone to do cello wrapping! My initial thought was to have the red and gilded decks unwrapped but having these in the brick box among the other -wrapped- decks would be terrible looking. Long story short, I found a provider literally yesterday!!! They do decent work, at least better than no cello at all and the decks will be ready in a couple of days.

FULFILLMENT TIMELINE

In the weekend we will send out the Backerkit. There you will be able to verify or update your address and add goodies. It only takes a couple of minutes to do it so please complete it as soon as you can.

Fulfillment will begin at the end of next week. Bricks will be sent worldwide from me, here in Greece. Orders with destination Europe -that are not bricks- will be sent from Germany. All other (non-brick) orders with destination USA and rest of the world will be sent from the USA.

As soon as your order is out you'll get a tracking number.

Fulfillment Coming Soon...

We would like to let you know that fulfillment is coming soon. The purple and green decks are on their way from Cartamundi to our fulfillment areas. We have received samples and they turned out beautiful and so smooth on the B9 Slim Line Finish.

**Please make note that if you’ve had any changes in shipping addresses since the campaign ended - let us know via message to update your address before fulfillment begins.

We have attached some beautiful photos by our friend Steve Rosenfield. Also included are photos from Lotrek’s printers of the red and gilded tucks. Lotrek will be providing an update this week on bricks and Signature decks.

Excitement Fills the Air...

Hi all,

Some solid news, finally!

Cartamundi has just finished printing of both decks and we are expecting them to be completed and packed with their cello wrapping in the next days. They had to reprint the purple deck due to a mismatch between the back and the double backer and it’s really great that they decided to do it before we even ask it. Shows a lot about their professionalism and maybe explains why they sometimes delay to deliver within the scheduled time frame.

As soon as the decks are ready, we will ship them to Greece and United States. All brick box orders will be sent from Greece along with the Signature edition decks. Prepare for some nice Hellenic Post stamps!

The plan is to fulfill the European orders from Europe (Greece and/or Germany) and the R.O.W orders from Gambler’s Warehouse. Hopefully we will have them in our hands by the end of August.

The items produced in Greece and the gilded decks are also almost completed but due to Summer closure, they will be ready by the end of the month.

As soon as we have everything in our hands, we’ll make a big post with yummy pictures of every deck and box. (The brick boxes by the way are going to be awesome!)

Taking into account all the factors that make this fulfillment rather complex and our wish to start shipping the decks to Europe, USA and R.O.W. more or less at the same time, we expect to be able to ship the orders around the 10th of September.

On the 1st of September we will send you a backerkit where you can update your address, confirm your orders or add goodies. We have a few nice treats to celebrate the end of this campaign which happened just before the Coronavirus entered our lives! Keep the Wonder!

PRODUCTION UPDATE

Hey all,

Lotrek's spirit has successfully posessed Kellar's keyboard and you're hearing from him now!

 -We're finally happy to announce some significant progress in production: After the Covid-19 turmoil and the huge delays it caused to Cartamundi's pipeline the Green and Purple decks are finally printed! The photos below were sent to us by Cartamundi and although not too clear, they clearly show that the printing is awesome!

However, don't get too excited... Printing is over but there is still the linen finish to be applied before the decks are cut. The schedule is to have them finished by the 25th of July. 

On the Signature Edition front, the decks are finished and cut. I'm very happy with the result and excited to share some photos!

There are also the red decks that have already been printed but for a series of reasons are not completed yet. Long story full of technical details and printing problems but to cut it short: these decks are on the final stage and are going to be finished in the next days.

Brick boxes and Signature tuck cases are also to be completed soon, before the end of the month (laughters from the audience).

Coronavirus has messed up everything here just like in any other place in the world. My providers were working only some days a week with half the staff so this situation resulted in work that has incredibly piled up. This is the main reason why this part of the production isn't over yet. We're trying to complete everything before the end of July because in August Athens is like an abandoned Mexican village. We'll keep you posted regardless. But even in that case, my guess is that fulfillment will begin early September as the decks have to be sent to two fulfillment centers, in Germany and USA plus the coordination that all this needs.

2020 has turned out very differently than we all expected. Let's hope that the pandemic will be controlled soon. It's no joke and the situation can become really nasty.
